We have an unpopular opinion about rain on wedding days: Rain provides such a romantic feel to the day! Stormy days always have me thinking back to Nicole and Stefano’s swoony, rainy wedding. We knew there was a high chance of rain for their special day, so we snagged our clear bubble umbrella and brought it just in case we needed it for photos. Guess what? The umbrella made for a perfect prop during the drizzle and these photos ended up being our favorites from the whole day. These two are everything, and they took the rainy Cincinnati day in stride - we think these photos reflect it. A couple small tips for rainy wedding days:

1. Be prepared with umbrellas for guests and your wedding party. Amazon has great clear umbrellas you can purchase in bulk.

2. Communicate with your venue(s) and planner from day one about their weather contingency plan. You’ll feel much more at ease if you’ve known plan B from the beginning. Hint: Your Wedding Planner will help you with this.

3. Communicate with your photographer/videographer about a backup plan for photo locations. They know their stuff and most times have a backup spot for rainy days!

4. Be flexible and embrace it! We can’t control the weather, so let’s use it to create core memories.

All in all, your wedding day is about celebrating your union with your best friend. Let's celebrate no matter the weather! And hey, rain on your wedding day is considered good luck anyway.
